Eco-driving

This publication is one of a series of three reference manuals produced by Treatise, an EC project that provides free training on sustainable transport subjects (primarily for energy and transport professionals) to cover three subject areas. These are: Cleaner Fuels & Vehicles, an explanation of the key vehicle fuels and technologies, including their advantages, disadvantages, availability and cost; Eco-driving: The techniques – and the theory behind them – that lead to more efficient driving; and Mobility Management: practical advice on how to reduce dependence on single-occupancy car travel. This manual deals with eco-driving and focuses on techniques, as well as including examples of eco-driving initiatives in Europe, and their outcomes.
