Universal Access to Bus Rapid Transit

Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) systems can significantly improve accessibility for physically, economically and socially disadvantaged people. However, success depends on critical details, such as the ease with which people with impairments can access stations, and the size of the gap between platforms and buses. This requires a comprehensive planning process that involves people with disabilities at every stage. These improvements can benefit everybody, not just people with disabilities.
