Transport Planning and Traffic Management for Better Air Quality

A key challenge in transport planning is identifying measures that are technically sound and acceptable to politicians and the public. Improvement measures should be efficient, effective, and feasible in the local context.

These guidelines are an output of ADB’s Regional Workshop on Transport Planning, Demand Management, and Air Quality held on 26-27 February 2002 in Manila, Philippines. The complete set provides an in-depth analysis of the different components of an integrated strategy to reduce pollution from mobile sources.
