The Benefits and Costs of a Bus Rapid Transit System in Mexico City

A bus rapid transit system is a bus route that operates in a dedicated lane, where passengers pay prior to boarding at boarding stations. Bus rapid transit systems can provide a number of environmental, economic, and social benefits in cities where they are implemented. In order to promote the use of bus rapid transit systems in Mexico City, this analysis quantifies the most important environmental and economic benefits of a bus rapid transit corridor in Mexico City, called Metrobús.
