Transport volumes are growing at a rate where many of the improvements brought about by new technology are being partly or fully negated. Emissions of harmful pollutants are deceasing steadily, but there are indications that the test cycles, on which the emissions are calculated, fail to represent real world driving conditions. The TERM 2004 looks at trends in transport emissions and other transport impacts over the decade from early 1990s to the early 2000s.
