The Trans-Africa Consortium published a consultation draft “Overview of public transport in Sub-Saharan Africa”, a study that has been carried out for the Directorate-General for Research in the European Commission with support of UITP and UATP. The study provides an overview of public transport in Sub-Saharan African countries, including historical background information, an overview of public transport regulations at federal and local level as well as a snapshot on public transport operators and different modes of public transport.
