Highway capacity and economic growth

Aschauer argues in this paper that the quality and quantity of highway transportation systems have a direct bearing on economic growth. He presents several economic principles relevant in measuring and determining economic growth through highway expansion. Although the paper was written twenty years ago, Aschauer’s work is considered highly relevant when juxtaposing infrastructure and economic growth.
