The ’50 by 50′ Global Fuel Economy Initiative (GFEI) Report demonstrates how substantial annual savings are possible through an ambitious worldwide programme. The strategy should be achievable simply through wider user of existing, cost-effective incremental fuel economy technologies, such as better engines and drive systems, more efficient components (such as tyres), and lighter materials etc.
