gTKP is currently funded by the UK Department for International Development (DFID) and is sponsored by Peter O'Neill of DFID.
We have been managed by a Core Management Group under a DFID Framework Agreement with the Technology, Infrastructure and Urban Planning Resource Centre (TI-UP) since November 2007.
gTKP is currently advised by a Steering Group chaired by Professor Tony Ridley of Imperial College, London. The Steering Group meets several times a year and has members from Europe, Asia and Africa.
gTKP primarily covers global road transport, however, as relevant to its seven theme areas, it also incorporates other types of transport - such as public transport systems or rural waterways.
Our theme champions are experts in their particular field. Each theme champion has many years of international experience in transport and can highlight the best information, knowledge and experience available.
